Call Your Representatives: Ask them to take action on the Therapy Cap before December 31st

A cap on Medicare outpatient therapy services will go into effect on January 1st if Congress fails to act now. This cap on therapy services would deny access to needed services for the most vulnerable Medicare beneficiaries. Congress has drafted legislation that would permanently repeal the therapy cap and replace it with a targeted review of claims; however with a packed schedule, before the holidays, Congress appears to be taking no action.

The current patch expires on December 31, 2017. At that time, more than a million beneficiaries are at risk of losing access to outpatient Medicare therapy services.

There are many major issues in front of Congress right now including major issues such as tax reform and funding the government. Access to therapy services, however, is essential for more than a million Medicare beneficiaries and Congress needs to act to ensure they have access to this care.Your elected representatives need to hear from you.
Thank you for taking action on behalf of beneficiaries who need access to outpatient therapy Medicare therapy services, as well as the profession of occupational therapy.
