Representative Assembly

Role of the AOTA Representative- Jane Erickson

Jane Erickson, OTR/L, was elected as the AOTA representative for Maine for the term from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019. She has practiced in Maine as an occupational therapist since 2002 primarily in the SNF and home care settings in the Lewiston/Auburn area.  Jane was a member of the MeOTA conference committee for 10 years.  Though not a voting of the MeOTA board, Jane does attend board meetings regularly for insight into what Maine OT practitioners are thinking.

September, 2017 Update:

An update from your MAINE Representative

Dear AOTA Members of Maine:

The Representative Assembly, the professional standards and policy setting body of AOTA, will
be conducting business during the Fall 2017 on-line meeting (Oct. 23-27). We do not know
what we will be discussing and voting on yet, as motions are currently being reviewed for
submission. I will provide a link when the information is available.

As your AOTA representative, I invite you to become engaged in the work of the Assembly by
working with me to propose professional standards or policy motions within the purview of the
RA. Motions submitted now and through the fall will be considered for the Spring meeting. You
might also consider becoming a member of the RA in an upcoming election. The next election
for the Maine rep position will be in January 2019.

It is my pleasure to serve as your AOTA representative and I am happy to assist you in
answering any questions you might have about the work of the RA and how we can work
together to support the profession.

Jane Erickson, OTR/L

Maine Representative
