Meet the Midcoast Maine Regional Representative
Lauren Brampton is the Midcoast Regional Representative, a position which she has held for a year. Lauren is a COTA who is currently working for SAD 28 at the K-4 school and also at the Middle School. Before this, Lauren worked for years in rehab including Camden health Care Center which is now Quarry Hill and also at Windward Gardens before transitioning into the schools. She has worked for both SAD 34 and SAD 28. As Midcoast Representative, Lauren facilitates and hosts evening workshops a few times a year. She also attends the MeOTA board meetings. Lauren’s position assists MeOTA members by offering evening workshops that provide resources and knowledge either within one's field of practice or about a field of practice one might want to explore. An added benefit is that the evening workshops are also an inexpensive means to gain CEU's. Having opportunities to meet other practitioners in the area and share thoughts and ideas is always beneficial. Lauren feels that the greatest advantage to being a member of MeOTA is the opportunity to network with other practitioners, gain knowledge through the Fall and Spring conferences and through the regional offerings, and stay current with legislation that could be effecting areas of practice. Lauren offers that presenting or attending conferences or regional offerings, joining one of the committees, and contributing to the “MeOTA Minute” are all great ways to be involved with MeOTA.
